To help the mass public know more about dementia and promote the message of early detection and intervention, the Simon K Y Lee Elderly Fund conducted a series of public education initiatives in 2011 and 2012. The series targeted the middle-aged group, hoping to alert them of the issue of dementia thereby taking their elderly family members to receive screening.
