To help the mass public know more about dementia and promote the message of early detection and intervention, the Simon K Y Lee Elderly Fund conducted a series of public education initiatives in 2011 and 2012. The series targeted the middle-aged group, hoping to alert them of the issue of dementia thereby taking their elderly family members to receive screening.
Five short videos comprising stories and messages from doctors, nurses and social workers were broadcasted at platforms including TV, buses, hospitals, 100 clinics, over 500 commercial and industrial buildings and elderly lounges at 11 residential estates of the Housing Society.
